Sinfonia in G Major Pastoritia

Sinfonia in G Major Pastoritia by Anton Zimmermann is scored for two violins, viola, bass, two clarinos, "cuculo obligato", "tuba pastoralis obligato" and timpani. It is extant in two versions (Kremnica, Slovakia; Keszthely, Hungary), and the Slovak source comes from the library of the Franciscan monastery in Kremnica. Sinfonia in G Major is one of those pioneering works of the second half of the 18th century which contributed to forming the pastorally oriented symphonic work of classicism.
