The Progressive Method for Saxophone

Progressive Saxophone Method is the first publication of its kind in Slovakia. Drawing on his extensive experience as both a performer and a teacher, the author has designed the method for beginners as well as intermediate players interested in popular music styles such as jazz and funk. Since today's saxophonists are expected to have at least a basic command of a variety of musical styles, the method is divided into two parts.

The opening classical section covers fundamental fingerings, alternative fingerings, traditional études, recital pieces, and scales, all intended to develop musicality and establish the technical foundations essential for further progress, regardless of the musical genre the student ultimately chooses to pursue. The second part, devoted to swing and groove études, focuses on phrasing and introduces the fundamental stylistic principles of these areas of popular music.
