At present Jozef Eliáš is a principal clarinetist at the Slovak Philharmonic, his orchestral experiences he gained by playing in various orchestras (Bruno Walter Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of the Opera of the Slovak National Theatre, Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, Bratislava Metropolitan Orchestra, Slovak Chamber Orchestra of Bohdan Warchal, Cappella Istropolitana, Czech National Symphony Orchestra). As chamber music player he cooperated with Quasars Ensemble and Melos Ethos Ensemble, he was a member of woodwind quintet Una Anima, Slovak Woodwind Quintet, Societa Rigata Quartet and Bratislava Clarinet Quartet. As a soloist he introduced himself with Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina, Slovak Chamber Orchestra of Bohdan Warchal and Moyzes Quartet.
