"The critics marvel at Kákoni’s sparkling temperament and admirable technical scope. These qualities permit him to cherish various details of shade, play with the tonal formation and, eventually, to win his audience by an efficient build-up of the pieces. It was especially during the early stages of his career that his performances of baroque pieces paved the way for the idea that accordion has its place and wide use also in classical music. Since 1990, he has been playing on a button accordion, an instrument that he has self-taught himself."
