Even during his studies Viktor Šimčisko won several awards and recognition. For his special performing skills he shortly after studies became a member and later concert master of the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra in Bratislava. He recorded a lot of recordings for Slovak Television, but mainly for Slovak Radio, including recordings of work by Slovak composers. He is a renowned chamber player, and has performed in several chamber ensembles, the best known Violin Duo of Wolfgang Schneiderhan and with Alžbeta Plaskurová.
