Daniel Simandl cooperated with Slovak State Philharmonic Košice (as a conductor of educational concerts), Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina (conductor of opera matinees for children and their parents), and he conducted in Opera Studio of the Academy of Performing Arts. Since 2010 he is a teacher at the Bratislava Conservatory, where he is also a conductor and the head of musical realization in Opera Studio, he teaches Conducting, Music Dictation, and Score Realization.

At the Slovak National Theatre, he worked in various positions – as assistant choirmaster, assistant of musical realization (The Miracles of Mary, I Due Foscari), assistant conductor (King Theodore in Venice), and as a guest conductor (A Mysterious Key, Martin and the Sun, La Bayadère). In season 2011/12 he was assistant conductor for opera Rusalka by Dvořák at Janáček Opera Brno.

He worked as accompanist and assistant conductor appeared at opera festival Gars am Kamp in Austria. At present he cooperates with renewed Arnold Schönberg Choir from Vienna.

In 2013 as pianist he cooperated with a singer Jaroslav Pehal in vocal recital Vivat Verdi by G. Verdi on the occasion of the 200th birth anniversary of composer (concerts in Hlohovec, Bratislava, Nitra, Kežmarok, Vienna and others).

He is also a choirmaster and founder of male vocal group Danubius Octet Singers.
