Gustáv Beláček ranks among the most prominent personalities of Slovak vocal art. He made his debut in 1992 as Leporello in Prague’s Chamber Opera. Since then, he has personified a number of opera characters in various opera theatres, such as Grand Théâtre de Genève (CH), Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels (BE), Théâtre du Rhin in Strasbourg (FR), State Opera in Banská Bystrica, State Opera in Budapest (HU), opera Nagoyi (JA), Silesian Theatre in Opava (CZ), Chamber Opera in Bratislava, Chamber Opera in Vienna (AT). Being a concert vocalist, he has performed both alongside Slovak ensembles (Slovak Philharmonic, Slovak Radio Symphonic Orchestra, Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina, Bohdan Warchal’s Slovak Chamber Orchesrtra etc.) as well as alongside prominent orchestras from Europe and overseas (London Philharmonic Orchestra, Dresdner Philharmonic, Orchestre de la Suisse romande, the City of Prague's Orchestra FOK, l´Orchestre National de France, New Jersey Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, Montreal Symphony, Cammerata New York etc.) His collaborations include those with foremost conductors, e.g. Sir Charles Mackerras, Serge Baudo, Seiji Ozawa, Jiří Bělohlávek, Libor Pešek and others. His concert performances were held among others in Colegio National Buenos Aires (AR) and Nacional Teater Aula Magna Lisabon (PT). His recording activities include work for Slovak, Czech, Hungarian and French (TV Arte) televisions, as well as for the Slovak and Czech Radios.
