In the field of chamber music, his artistic partners include several performers – opera soloist Ján Všetečka-Konstanty, singer Marek Bakyta, clarinetist Jakub Žufka, violinist and violist Miroslav Baloga, and opera singer Otokar Klein. With the support of the Nitra Royal Wine Route, he recorded two CDs. He founded the jazz ensemble Michal Direr Trio (+ Dušan Vrúbel, Juraj Vrúbel). He currently works as a teacher at the Conservatory in Žilina.

In 2003, he participated in the 'Musica arvenzis' course in Dolný Kubín under the direction of Peter Čerman. In 2004, he took part in international piano courses in Brno led by Jiří Skovajsa. In 2007 and 2008, he participated in piano courses under the guidance of Drahomíra Biligová from the Conservatorio dell'Aquila. In 2010, he participated in the International 'Theodor Leschetizky' Piano-Master Course 'Idea-Image-Technique' in Rzeszów (PL), where he had the opportunity to work with several instructors.

The young musician was supported by the Music Center as part of the Young Talents Forum project.
