Since 1986 he was a member of Musica Aeterna and in 1988 a member of the Slovak Chamber Orchestra with which he toured Europe, USA and Japan. During eight years of performing with the Slovak Chamber Orchestra he played more than 60 times as a soloist (in addition to Slovak and Czech festivals also at festivals in Schleswig-Holstein, Katowice, Warsaw, Istanbul and others). After termination of his cooperation with Slovak Chamber Orchestra, he became a full time pedagogue at the Academy of Performing Arts, and his concert activities are concentrated into the concerts with his wife, pianist Dana Šašinová (Duo Šašina). They have also played at the Bratislava Music Festival, Melos-Ethos Festival, New Slovak Music, at Žilina festival Pentagonals, and in many concerts in Slovak towns, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, USA and Norway. He has performed double bass concertos with orchestras such as the Slovak Philharmonic, Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina, State Philharmonic Košice, Ladies Chamber Orchestra, Slovak Chamber Orchestra, ensemble Musica Aeterna, Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc, Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, Silesian Chamber Orchestra, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Krakow and others.
Since 1987 he has taught at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (1999 assistant professor). He has raised many successful double bass players who are now members of top domestic orchestras and chamber ensembles, or artists and pedagogues abroad. He is a popular lecturer of master classes not only at home but also abroad: music colleges in Debrecen, Wroclaw, Lodž, for Michaelstein Abbey Foundation in Germany, at the University in Boulder, Colorado, USA, at North-Western University in DeKalb, Illinois, USA and at Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
