Oľga Kroupová is a Slovak composer living in Germany. She studied composition at the Conservatory in Bratislava and at the Academy of Performing Arts, where she studied with prominent figures of Slovak music. She furthered her education at the Liszt Academy in Budapest and through postgraduate studies in Germany. She has completed several international composition courses and seminars, including studies in electronic music and an internship at the electronic studio of Hungarian Radio. Since 1996, she has been working as a freelance composer with permanent residence in Detmold. She collaborates with major European publishers and institutions, has a publishing contract with a German publisher, and is a member of the GEMA copyright association.
