In the field of research she has focused on regional musical historiography and documentation of music of the 19th and 20th centuries, religious music in the 19th century in Slovakia with emphasis on Ján Egry, whose contribution she has evaluated in a number of scholarly studies, and which became a source for the compilation of entries in the encyclopaedia Die Musik in Geschichte und Gegenwart. Allgemeine Enzyklopädie der Musik Personenteil 6. Stuttgart, Bärenreiter, Verlag, 2001. She has produced the collected bibliography of Pavel Tonkovič (1994). Her interest in regional history has led to a monographically orientated study and subsequent monograph on musical theatre in Banská Bystrica (1987, 2009).
She has actively participated in the development of musical life in Banská Bystrica, taking part as dramaturge and organiser in the holding of the international Music Salons festival in Banská Bystrica. Furthermore, she has been secretary of the regional branch of the Musical Union (1991-1992) and is co-founder of the Ján Levoslav Bella Conservatory in Banská Bystrica.
She has completed study stays at the international festival of contemporary music Dni Muzyki kompozytorow Krakowskich in Krakow (at the invitation of the Polish Composers’ Union 1995-1999), and has lectured at the Akademii Muzycznej in Krakow in an Erasmus Project (2009).
