Ida Černecká performs both domestically and internationally. She performs with local (Slovak Philharmonic, State Philharmonic Košice, State Chamber Orchestra Žilina, Symphony Orchestra of the Slovak Radio) and foreign ensembles (Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra). In the field of chamber music, she works with mezzo-soprano Marta Beňačková, and with pianist František Pergler, she performs repertoire for four-hand piano.
Alongside her concert activity, an important area of her creative efforts is her pedagogical work. Her students place in the top positions in both domestic and international competitions. Some of her most notable graduates from the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (VŠMU) include Katarína Brejková, Magdaléna Bajuszová, Kamil Mihalov, Jana Nagy-Juhász, Martina Starostová, Zuzana Zamborská, Daniel Buranovský, Mária Heinzová, Zuzana Niederdorfer, František Pergler, and SHF scholarship holder Marián Pivka. She has led masterclasses at the International Interpretation Courses in Piešťany and at the Bratislava summer courses for participants from Japan. She has been a member of juries for international interpretation competitions abroad (Concertino Praga, Ljubljana, and Janáček-Martinů in Brno) as well as in Bratislava (International J. N. Hummel Competition), and has chaired competitions for Slovak conservatories, she is a member of the Music Fund Commission of Concert Artists, the board of the Society of Concert Artists, the Festival Committee of the BHS, the organizing committee of the International Johann Nepomuk Hummel Piano Competition, and the main organizer and guarantor of the international piano competition Piano Bratislava. In 2002, she was the academic supervisor of the event Hommage à Carl Czerny, where she lectured on the significance of this pedagogue. She gives lectures on methodological and interpretative practices. She collaborates with Slovak Radio as the author of music-and-word programs.
"The performance of Ida Černecká is characterized by a clear piano handwriting, the elaboration of multi-layered textures (Schumann, Debussy), high cultivation, emphasis on tone production, elegance, and fragile lyrical cantabile of a meditative type." (Vladimír Čížik: Dictionary of Slovak Concert Art I., Music Centre, Bratislava 2002, p. 27)
