Elena Letňanová has rich experience of giving concerts, mainly abroad. Apart from Slovak festivals she has appeared at festivals in Vienna, Rome, Ghent, Bacau, San Francisco, Dayton, Prague, Kroměříž, Ostrava, Zlín, Katowice, Turin etc. and recitals in Carnegie Hall in New York, Washington and other states of the USA, Canada, Europe (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Holland, Belgium, England, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, Romania, Poland, Czech Republic etc.), Asia (Israel) and Japan. As well as collaborating with leading Slovak orchestras, she has appeared  with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, M. Jora Philharmonic Orchestra in Bacau, Bohuslav Martin Chamber Orchestra in Brno, Brno Philharmonia, Brno Chamber Soloists conducted by Georg Sebastien, Philip Magnusson, Henri van de Velde, Ovidio Balan etc.

 

In 2009 she also appeared at the international music festival Harmonia Moraviae in Zlín, where she performed two piano concertos dedicated to her: Concertino for Elena by Richard Toensing and Good Company by Boudewijn Buckinx, and a piano concerto by Henryk Gorecki. Czech Radio made a recording of the concert.

 

In 2010 she participated in the Forfest Festival (Good Company – Concerto For Piano and String Orchestra by Boudewijn Buckinx, dedicated to Elena Letňanová).

 

Since 1992 she has also worked as an English lecturer at several Slovak universities. She occasionally engages in literary activity, and short stories of hers have been published in leading literary journals in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
