Duo Cordefiato consists of guitarist Miriam Rodriguez Brüllová and flautist Ivica Gabrišová. The two musicians began performing together while studying at the conservatory. Later, their concert activity became only occasional, as they pursued studies at different institutions abroad (Salzburg and Montreal). They resumed their intensive collaboration in 2000, although they currently perform mostly on an occasional basis (2026).
In 1995 and 1997, the duo participated in masterclasses held as part of the Bohemia Festival in Kostelec nad Černými lesy (Czech Republic), and in 2003 they attended masterclasses within the International Music Festival in Weikersheim (Germany). In the same year, they won second prize at the International Performance Competition in Weikersheim. They also gave several concerts as part of both festivals. In September 2002, they performed at the concert Music of Nations, presented within the Culture Without Borders festival in Bratislava.
In January 2003, the duo gave a recital as part of the chamber concert series Momentum Musicum in Bratislava. Their artistic activity gradually intensified, and they went on to give numerous concerts in Slovakia and abroad.
Their repertoire ranges from Baroque music to contemporary works and includes compositions by both international and Slovak composers. They also collaborate with cellist Michal Sťahel.
In 2005, the duo recorded the album Pictures, which features two compositions by Dušan Martinček. One of them, Charleston, was dedicated to the duo by the composer. Both works, together with other compositions by Martinček, were performed at a concert in the Albrechtina concert series in March 2026, marking the 90th anniversary of the composer’s birth and the 20th anniversary of his death.
