The string quartet was founded in 2007 by members of the ŠKO Žilina and is one of the chamber ensembles affiliated with the orchestra.

The quartet is known for its efforts to popularize classical music, often performing works in unconventional arrangements and in unusual locations, such as city streets and public spaces.

They have performed in numerous cities across Slovakia, Europe, and Canada. In 2017, they appeared in Bratislava as part of the Viva ulica! project.
