  Chamber orchestra Sinfonietta Bratislava is a young, dynamic chamber group, whose members are prominent young Slovak and Czech musicians, graduates of art colleges in Slovakia and abroad (Brno, Prague, Vienna, Graz, Paris, etc.). Currently the members of the orchestra are sought after chamber players in various chamber groups, e. g. Prague Philharmonia, Slovak Chamber Orchestra of Bohdan Warchal, Musica Minore, Korngold Quartet, or as the first players in symphonic orchestras – Slovak Philharmonic and Zlín Philharmonic. Most players of Sinfonietta Bratislava have solo ambitions they regularly prove at individual solo recitals or as soloists of various chamber and symphonic orchestras on stages in Slovakia and abroad. Chamber orchestra Sinfonietta Bratislava performs in a classic chamber line up of 10 – 12 players, led by violinist Pavel Bogacz Jr. According to requirements, the orchestra performs with added sections of woodwind or percussion instruments. Despite its still relatively short history (Sinfonietta Bratislava was founded in 2008), the orchestra thrives to promote and perform regularly in various Slovak cities. Sinfonietta Bratislava also brings unique projects, such as the master class and gala concert of the renown virtuoso Julian Rachlin (Bratislava, December 2013), the recording of film music by Petr Hapka (January 2014), Concert Stradivari, interpreted on famous Italian music instruments borrowed specially for this occasion (Bratislava, June 2014), a concert with Korben Dallas (Slovak alternative rock band) held during the Viva Musica! Festival (Bratislava, 2014), the master class and gala concert of the renown virtuoso Ilya Gringolts (Bratislava, October 2014), Swing Christmas concert held in the Slovak National Theatre (December 2014) and many others. Sinfonietta Bratislava has also cooperated with distinguished artists, such as Dalibor Karvay (violin, Slovakia), Milan Paľa (violin, Slovakia), Peter Baran (cello, Slovakia), Dr. Dennette Derbisova McDermott (flute, USA), Dr. Douglas Bakenhus (bassoon, USA), Martin Krajčo (guitar, Slovakia), well-known opera singers – Adriana Kučerová, Andrea Vizvári, Terézia Kružliaková, Helena Becse-Szabó, Eva Šušková, Michaela Kušteková, Zuzana Ballánová, Miriam Garajová, Angelika Zajícová-Jelšová, Gurgen Ovsepian, and many others. The orchestra is led by the concert master, violinist Pavel Bogacz Jr. As an artistic director, he includes especially interesting pieces in the programmes, and as a result the orchestra is gaining a large number of stable listeners and supporters. The orchestra’s hallmarks include a colourful, dynamic, performance style and enthusiastic musicianship.
