EnsembleSpectrum

Slovak chamber ensemble. Its artistic director is Matej Sloboda. It consists mainly of students at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, who perform works by authors of various generations. The Ensemble Spectrum’s repertoire is made up of compositions by Slovak and world composers, of which many are being performed for the first time. From its inception the ensemble has presented more than 20 works in premiere, especially thanks to its participation in the Orpheus Student Festival, with which it has now been collaborating for three seasons. The ensemble has appeared also in festivals including Confrontations, Bachtribute – Festival of Bach Music and in the Closer to the World of Music project at Nástupište 1-12 in Topoľčany. Thanks to support from the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts, EnsembleSpectrum presented the Slovak premiere of Divertimento per orchestra da camera by Vladimír Bokes and the modern Slovak premiere of Noneto by Jozef Sixta.
