Abstructures

Abstructures continues the artistic direction that pianist Ľuboš Šrámek first outlined on his debut album, Correspondance. The title Abstructures itself symbolizes the harmony of two contrasting dimensions: one abstract, intuitive, and deeply sincere; the other structured, strategically conceived, and meticulously crafted. Built on this principle, Šrámek uncovers new sonic landscapes while demonstrating his strengths as a thoughtful dramaturge who keeps the listener engaged throughout the album.

Abstructures was recorded by the East European Artsemble, comprising Ľuboš Šrámek (piano), Kornél Fekete-Kovács (trumpet, flugelhorn), Kristóf Bacsó (alto saxophone), Rosta Fraš (tenor and alto saxophones), Matúš Jakabčic (guitar, guitar synthesizer), Štefan Bartuš (double bass), and Dušan Novakov (drums), with guest musicians Sisa Michalidesová (flute), Juraj Bartoš (trumpet, flugelhorn), Milo Suchomel (soprano and tenor saxophones), Peter Adamov (vocals), Gábor Winand (vocals), Eddy Portella (percussion), and Marián Ševčík (drums).
