A substantial part of Štefan Németh-Šamorínsky’s output was devoted to children, choirs, and folk ensembles. This aspect of his work was inspired primarily by Slovak and Hungarian folk songs, as well as by the music of Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály. The collection Népdalcsokor (Bouquet of Folk Songs) comprises eleven two- and three-part children's choruses in the Hungarian language.
