Variable Sonatina for Piano, Op. 60

The variable sonatina for piano, op. 60, belongs among the last works of Andrej Očenáš. It consists of three parts: I. Allegro con febbre - II. Andante quasi largo (Freezing Windows) - III. Allegro alla marcia. Variability is manifested through variational (non-identical) returns of thematic material, with a prevailing lyrical, profound expression typical of the poetic style of this representative of Slovak musical modernism. The composition is published in print for the first time.
