From a Child's Life, Op. 32 (1912/1919) by Viliam Figuš-Bystrý is published as part of the Slovak Chamber Music edition. Composed for the unusual combination of violin, viola, and piano, this concert work presents ten expressive character pieces portraying a child's day, from the first moments of waking to a gentle evening lullaby.

The cycle includes the following movements:

  4. Tag
  5. Playtime
  6. On the Swing
  7. Rest
  8. Fairy Tale
  9. Returning Home
  10. Lullaby

The volume also includes the Scherzo, Op. 33 (1915), originally composed for violin, viola, and piano. As the composer also prepared an alternative version for violin, cello, and piano, this edition includes the additional cello part for the Scherzo. The publication contains the full score and three individual performance parts.
