Bella, Ján Levoslav
Ján Levoslav Bella´s essential contribution to the Slovak song tradition, which in the second half of the 19th century had been based on sentimental and revolutionary romanticism and folk imitations, was above all (apart from the new thematic field of the intimate love lyric) a "high" individual style. Following Volume C:I of the complete edition of Bella´s works, the present volume offers the musical public a further opportunity to become acquainted from its many aspects with the composer´s moving song lyricism.
