Milica Djordjević

Serbian composer. Graduated in composition from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where she also finished studies of Sound and Music Recording and Production, as well as specialized training in electronic music. She finished postgraduate specialist studies in composition at Conservatoire National de Region de Strasbourg (Ivan Fedele) and graduated with honours. She continued her professional accomplishments in Paris, where she was enrolled in composition and computer music Cursus1 at IRCAM (2009-2010). She finished 3rd cycle studies at HfM Hanns Eisler in Berlin (Prof. Hanspeter Kyburz). Djordjević has attended various composition master classes, courses and festivals. Her compositions have been performed in Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Austria, The Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Israel, USA, Thailand. She has collaborated with musicians including Arditti Quartet, Münchener Kammerochester, Neue Vocalsolisten, musikFabrik, Teodoro Anzellotti, Alexander Liebreich, Luca Pfaff, Jean Deroyer, Sylvio Gualda, Cerys Jones a Orchestre National de Lorraine etc. She has been awarded numerous prizes and scholarships, including Prize of the City of Strasbourg (2008), Nikola Tesla Award (2012), Berlin-Rheinsberger Kompositionspreis (2013), 1st Prize at the Lucerne Festival composition competition (2013), Belmont Prize (2015) etc. Lives and works in Berlin.
