Maroš Potokár as a violinist has cooperated with the following ensembles: Musica Iuvenalis, Visegrad Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (2005 – concert master, soloist), Chamber Orchestra of the State Philharmonic Košice and others. He was also primarius of Albrecht Quartet and member of piano trio Animé.
In his conducting beginnings he cooperated with the Symphony Orchestra of Conservatory in Košice, Chamber Orchestra in St. Elisabeth Cathedral, with Church Choir of St. Cecilia and mixed choir of Technical University of Košice Collegium Technicum. Later he conducted Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc, Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Zlín, Academic Chamber Soloists Prague, State Philharmonic Košice, Chamber Orchestra ZOE, Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic, Chisinau, Moldova and chamber group Quasars Ensemble. He is also a choirmaster of Košice Teachers' Choir.
Maroš Potokár in the 2012/2013 season as a conductor debuted on the stage of the Opera of the State Theatre in Košice in performances Dialogues of the Carmelites by F. Poulenc and Rigoletto by G. Verdi. In September 2016 musically realized La Bohème by Puccini again for the Opera of the State Theatre in Košice (for the first time as an internal conductor of the Theatre).
