Symphonies

Anton Zimmermann (1741–1781) founded and led one of the finest orchestras of the Central Danube region in the capital city of the kingdom of Hungary, Pressburg (now Bratislava); his compositions have been confused with those of Joseph Haydn. Symphony in C Major Militaris, Symphony in E Major and Sinfonia in G Major Pastoritia, performed by Musica Aeterna on original instruments, are recorded live in the historical setting of the Primate’s Palace in Bratislava.
