The selection of Slovak piano sonatinas aims to confront various authorial poetics brought by the development of the piano sonatina in our musical culture. Beginning with the one-movement Sonatina in E minor by J. L. Bella, published in 1873 in Budapest, and continuing with folkloristically inspired works by M. Moyzes / A. Moyzes, J. Cikker, M. Schneider-Trnavský. The second half of the 20th century is represented by sonatinas from I. Hrušovský, E. Suchoň, J. Malovec, M. Vilec, D. Martinček, A. Očenáš, and the new millennium is represented by Sonatina giocosa by I. Zeljenka. The selection, in a symbolic arc, is closed by B. Bartók's sonatina from 1915, based on folk tonal foundations. The double album was created as a live recording from concerts by the Albrechtina association, performed by the pianist Magdaléna Bajuszová.
