Matej Sloboda (1988) studied composition at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (with Ivan Buffa), the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (with Detlev Müller-Siemens) and in Graz (with Beat Furrer). Matej is an artistic director and a dramaturge of the EnsembleSpectrum (2012). Electronic and improvised works only accentuate his compositional versatility. His music was performed at the festivals ISCM 2016 in South Korea, ISCM 2018 in China, and Melos-Étos. He worked with the following artists and ensembles - Milan Paľa, Ivan Buffa, Marie Jacquot, Yan Liu, Tianjin Symphony Orchestra, Mucha Quartet, Gaia Quartet, Quasars Ensembe, etc.
