Allegretto Žilina 2025 – A Celebration of Young Musical Talents

The Allegretto Žilina Festival is an international music festival held annually in Žilina. It is undoubtedly one of the most significant musical events not only in Central Europe but also in Slovakia. With its rich tradition, the festival once again provides a platform for young musical talents—laureates of international music competitions from Slovakia and neighboring countries—to showcase their artistry.

This year’s 34th edition of the Allegretto Žilina Festival will take place from April 7 to April 12, 2025, at the Fatra House of Arts. The festival will feature eight performers from eight countries—Spain, Hungary, Japan, Austria, the United States, France, Ukraine, and Germany. Slovakia will be represented by a special concert featuring the laureates of this year’s competitions for Slovak conservatory students, held earlier in the spring.

Among the participating orchestras, the festival will welcome the State Philharmonic Košice, the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice and the Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina Orchestra.
