Ján Figura

Ján Figura has worked at the Žilina State Chamber Orchestra as first flautist, head of the orchestra's wind section, and soloist, ever since its establishment in 1974; in addition, he has worked with other musical ensembles as a soloist. He is the artistic director of three chamber ensembles at the Žilina State Chamber Orchestra – the Armonia Slovacca, the Baroque Quartet, and the Suchoň Quintet. Since 1999, he has performed regularly in a duo with the guitarist, Ján Labant.
