The connection of J. S. Bach with the saxophone may initially seem bizarre, but from a musical material perspective, Bach’s music is ideal for developing students’ musical sensitivity and aesthetics. In this collection, you will find arrangements of 26 movements from Bach’s French, English, and German suites (partitas) for all types of saxophones (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, bass) with piano accompaniment (in various keys). These pieces serve as excellent material for acquainting oneself with Baroque music and understanding its specifics. They develop a sense of detail, rhythm, sound production, timing, intonation, articulation, dynamics, and breath control, making them an excellent introduction to the world of ornaments and trills.

Ladislav Fančovič is one of the most versatile artists in the Slovak and European music scene. He studied piano at the Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU) in Bratislava, where he earned his doctoral degree. He began to focus on the saxophone during a thriving international piano career, and he completed his master’s studies at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. Ladislav Fančovič is a soloist with symphonic orchestras, a sought-after chamber musician both as a pianist and saxophonist, and, last but not least, an enthusiastic promoter of the saxophone as a classical music instrument.

The title includes four volumes stored in a practical cardboard box.
